The event, in its 23rd year, is the Dallas Arboretum’s largest annual fundraiser. The tea, which usually raises around $100,000, funds the preservation of the women’s grounds. It is the ONLY garden that’s been designed, built and endowed by a woman’s organization in the US.

• Prince William and Kate Middleton have decided to share a home with Prince Harry following the wedding! Oh My! The newlyweds will share a suite of rooms at Clarence House with Harry because they have not yet decided where they will stay permanently (Kensington Palace, Princess Diana’s former residence, is the leading contender).

• At the recent Dallas Mad Hatters Luncheon benefitting the Dallas Arboretum and themed “Wonderland of Fashion,” I did a take-off on the Royal Wedding titled “Kate in Wonderland.” My creation complete with a replica of Kate’s engagement ring on my finger won the grand prize for “Most Outlandish Hat”!

• Kate Middleton’s parents met the Queen for the FIRST TIME! over an lunch that lasted a little over one hour at Windsor Castle. The Queen has never been one to linger over a long lunch. Neither Prince William nor Kate attended the luncheon. A senior royal source said that the meeting “was a lovely lunch, very warm with lots of laughter and I think put everyone at ease.”

• The Huffington Post is stating that Sophie Cranston from the Libe’lula label has received the prized job of designing Kate’s wedding dress, complete with a 10 ft. train! St. James Palace refuses to comment on the reports. The Daily Mail also confirmed the Cranston news.

• Oh My! What’s Next? There is a yellow and red Jelly Bean from The Jelly Bean Factory with an illustration of Prince William’s bride-to-be on the surface. Kate’s features of strong facial features, long hair and a smile can be seen on the Jelly Bean! Click here to see the image!

• Over the weekend George Michael, a close friend of the late Princess Diana, released his tribute to the royal couple: a cover of Stevie Wonder’s 1972 hit “You and I.” The record label EMI, who owns the song rights, would have charged Michael for downloads, but Wonder stepped in waving any fees. Any proceeds from the song will now go to the Prince William & Miss Catherine Middleton Charitable Gift Fund.
